Privacy Policy & Directory Data Disclosure

1. Overview & Role of Septic Service VA

Septic Service VA(“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates an independent regional septic contractor directory and homeowner educational resource serving Fredericksburg and Central Virginia (including Spotsylvania, Stafford, Louisa, Lake Anna, Orange, Caroline, and Fluvanna counties). We are not a septic contracting company and do not personally perform septic installations, repairs, inspections, or pumping.

Homeowners browse our directory free of charge and contact listed septic businesses directly by phone or through the contractors' official websites.

2. Public Business Directory Records & Information Disclaimer

Contractor listings published in our directory contain only publicly advertised business information (such as business name, commercial phone number, official website URL, city/county service coverage, and publicly advertised service specialties). We do not publish personal residential street addresses from regulatory records.

Business owners may request an update or removal of their company profile at any time via our Add Your Business page.

3. Business Submissions & Advertising Inquiries

When a contractor or business representative submits our Advertise / Add Your Business form, we collect the submitted business name, email address, and optional website, phone number, and message solely to review the business for directory inclusion or respond to an advertising inquiry.

This website does not use an application database or sell contact details to third-party data brokers. Form submissions are transmitted securely over HTTPS to our hosted form processor (Formspree) with built-in spam protection.

4. Directory Analytics & Embedded Educational Media

• Privacy-Safe Directory Event Tracking: We record non-personal directory interaction events (such as contractor profile views, Call Business button clicks, Visit Website clicks, and directory service/county filter selections) to measure regional directory utility. No personal homeowner information is ever included in analytics payloads.
• Privacy-Enhanced Educational Videos: Educational guides feature official U.S. EPA videos embedded using YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com) behind a click-to-load preview facade.
